Alaska State Troopers responded to the village Monday, after the 7-year-old boy had been missing for two days.

According to a trooper dispatch, the body of 21-year-old Henry Penn Jr. of Noatak was found a mile downriver from the community on June 26.

Troopers say 36-year-old Georgia Onalik was operating the vehicle with an male passenger when it crashed on Willow Street.

According to an Alaska State Trooper’s dispatch, the cause of the fire is unknown. The person has not been positively identified yet, but local responders searched and were unable to account for 35-year-old Selawik resident Lester Hingsbergen.

Court records show 33-year-old Lennie Tuzroyluk is also accused of evidence tampering, weapons misconduct and assault in Peter Frankson’s death.

30-year-old Brandon Sheldon of Kiana was the sole fatality after a boat carrying five people capsized on the Kobuk River.

Court records show Guy Nashookpuk, 16, is charged with two first-degree counts each of murder and attempted murder in Sunday’s shooting.According to a charging document filed Monday against Nashookpuk, borough police responded just after 11:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a shooting at an Agvik Street residence. Officers found four gunshot victims: a dead man and woman, along with two severely wounded men.

A 23-year-old man from Selawik died over the weekend after his snowmachine ran out of gas just two miles outside the Northwest Arctic Borough town, according to Alaska State Troopers.

Police arrested Calvin Stein, 29, and Audrey Booth, 30, Thursday in the death of Franklin Richards. Richards is the father of Booth’s children, according to a charging document filed in the case.
